★★★★★★★★★★4.8 · 6,166 reviews · 1 day · from $111Our pick

Spend a relaxing day at Reykjavík’s oceanside Sky Lagoon with warm geothermal water, an infinity edge, swim-up bar, and Icelandic 7-step ritual. Choose shared or private changing facilities, then follow cold plunge, sauna, mist, scrub, steam, and crowberry juice stages. Bring swimwear, and book a sunset slot for changing light over the North Atlantic.

“Absolutely amazing experience. We have never done anything like this before, so didn’t know what to expect. We were genuinely blown away with the whole experience. Spent about 4 hours there, arriving at 4.30pm. The view from the sauna was breathtaking. We didn’t see any kids there at all for the whole duration we were there and that suited us perfectly as it has a very ‘adult’ vibe.”

15.From Mendoza: Premium Spa Day at the Cacheuta Hot Springs

★★★★★★★★★★4.5 · 60 reviews · 10 hours · from $156

Travel from Mendoza to Termas de Cacheuta for eight hours of thermal pools, waterfalls, whirlpools, foot baths, a grotto sauna, and a buffet lunch. Your Spanish-speaking driver collects you from a central hotel between 8:45 and 9:30 AM. Massages cost extra, and children under 14 cannot enter.

“We really enjoyed the day at the spa. Frustrating with pickup time. We were given a specific time to be ready and then weren’t picked up for nearly 40 minutes later. I just value my time. I think giving a range would be more reasonable. Our private driver for wine tour was on time. So it can be done. Spa was pleasant. They provide towels so we didn’t need to bring our own. And I would book massage when you arrive as they did fill up for the day. Lunch buffet had many good options.”
